Breckenridge had a great showing on August 11th for the inaugural Stage 2 of the Colorado Classic. The weather held wonderfully and the colorful crowd showed up for racers to cheer them up the grueling Moonstone climb.
The Women showed amazing power and stayed strong for 5 laps with Sara Poidevin taking the win.
The Men conquered Moonstone 10x, the shearing pain of that climb began to wear on even the strongest of racers. Eisenhart held strong but was caught on the last lap by Howes for an amazing finish.
Overall, it was an amazing race for the spectators and racers. Stage 2 of the Colorado Classic – Moonstone climb will not be forgotten anytime soon. Congrats to all the racers!
