The Breckenridge Community Ride will start at the Breck Bike Guide Main Street location. Riders will proceed North on Main Street to the Breck Rec Path. The route runs along the beautiful Blue River with the mountains of the 10 Mile Range as majestic backdrop. The terrain is slightly downhill with small rolling hills to Farmers Corner. The short course (approx. 1hr) riders will turn around at Farmer Corner (Summit High School) and loop back to Breckenridge with the opportunity to weave in the Moonstone climb before looping back the Breck Bike Guides shop.
The long course (2 -3 hrs) riders will continue North on the Rec Path, past Summit High School and into Frisco. The
Rec Path connection requires a crossing at Hwy 9 and then continuing toward the Town of Dillon parallel to the Dam Rd. and beside Lake Dillon. Riders will enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Dillon and weaving though natural grasses, Aspen & Pine Trees. Beyond the Town of Dillon, the terrain is relatively flat with a few rolling hills until it reaches Swan Mountain Road and then the climbing begins. Hearts will be pounding at the top of summit of Swan Mountain Road and will continue all the way down to intersection at Hwy 9 /Farmers Corner. The ride continues as the route is now slightly uphill all the way back to Breckenridge. The long course riders will also have an opportunity to weave in the Moonstone climb before looping back to Breck Bike Guide’s shop on Main Street.
