Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season with lots of fun, laughter and relaxation. This Useletter is getting out a little later then usual because the Holidays don’t officially end in our house until Monday, so woke with the sun (or snow) to sneak in some time with you.
Congratulations to Taylor Shelden who was the winner of the Holiday Giveaway. Taylor won an entry into the super inspiring Imperial Challenge in April! Can’t wait!
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN JANUARY :
January kicks off the new year with all sorts of silly fun.
One of my favorites is Ullr Fest January 11 – 17th. A Breckenridge tradition that honors the Norse mythology, winter god, Ullr (pronounced Oool-er). Don’t be surprise to see friends and neighbors with elaborately decorated horned viking helmets participating and enjoying the Ullr Fest activities. The week of events include a skating party, crowning of the King & Queen and just plan silliness with the ullympics, Breck’s Got Talent, The Ullr Parade on Thursday and much more.
BUT WAIT, Something new this year, Ullr Bike presented by Borealis Fat Bikes!
A new Fat Bike Race that is part of the Ullr Festivities. Start is at 5pm on Friday, January 16th at the Gold Run Nordic Center. For all the details check out Mavsports.com.
Need a Fat bike? Check out these local Bike shops.
Don’t miss the Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships on January 27 – February 8th (weather permitting). We bring some amazing snow artist from our the world to Breckenridge this week. For five days, the artist sculpt the ice and snow to create amazing works of art. Great photo opportunities!
This is a super busy week in Breckenridge to make your reservations early for lodging.
BEHIND THE SCENES:
In spite of the holidays, I have been using some of this time to brainstorm ideas, talk to people and review design concepts to understand where I want to see Bikenridge go in 2015. It’s exciting and daunting to imagine, but I am ready for the challenge.
What would you like to see on Bikenridge so make it your Everything Biking in Breckenridge TOOL?
Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.
Again, Happy New Year!
Courtney
