I want to thank you all for being a part of the Bikenridge Useletter. A once a month email that contains handy tips, cool stuff I find, useful biking tools and the behind-the-scenes look at how this all works. I hate junk mail, as I am sure you do to, so my hope is to make this super useful when you are heading out for a bike ride in Breckenridge.
It is always a good idea to refresh ourselves on some important cycling topics. Here is a humorous reminder that Trail Etiquette can bring you good karma. We are all Under Pressure, but it can be effecting your mountain biking performance more then you think.
Early Season Rides
See some of my early season ride favorites and check back as I continue to update the Breck Trails & Rides page. In an effort to get you the most user-friendly rider information and map, I was introduced to Strava. This is super cool online program that many cyclist use to track & record personal rides, find rides, but also to post personal results in an online ride competition with friends. Friendly Competition!
Race & Group Rides
Group Rides are so much fun and educational. Check out Katie’s all women group ride – Mountain Bike Mondays which start in June! Do you want to get out for a ride with kids? Maverick Sports Promotions’ Mountain Bike Junior League Group Rides also start in June.
The Gold Run Rush presented by Lincoln Park at the Wellington Neighborhood is on Wednesday, June 25th! Racers of all levels from under 10 yrs old to Pro level are welcome … fun & challenging courses with a great after-party.
Volunteer!
Now is a great time to sign up and mark your calendar for a Volunteer day with one of amazing organizations that keep our trails in great shape. Whether you are a local or a visitor, enjoying a day outdoors, doing your good deed for the summer will bring loads & loads of good riding karma your way. Sign up today!
Finally, I would love to hear from you with comments, suggestions and ideas. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to read this useletter and want to make it information you look forward to reading.
Get out and enjoy it!
