Tuesdays at RMU in Breckenridge
The other day, I was chatting with a biker friend, and she mentioned that RMU hosts "ladies" bike rides on Tuesdays at 5 PM. Intrigued, I decided to join in! Despite the rain, I headed out, unsure if the ride would still happen. To my surprise, eight other women showed up, and we decided to brave the weather.

We began our adventure at Carter Park, tackling the switchbacks before climbing up Juanita in the rain all the way to Sallie Barber. The weather was cold and rainy, so we hurried down Barney Ford and Barney Flow. Typically, these rides cover 8 to 12 miles, but we cut it short due to the conditions.

Up to Sallie Barber
The climb up to Sallie Barber was tough and almost got the best of me. However, the camaraderie of the group was fantastic, as the more experienced riders waited for me at the top. Despite the challenging conditions, it was a great ride with an amazing group of women. Plus, the free beer at RMU afterward was a perfect ending to the day! This ride was probably not for beginners, but the effort was well worth it.
